Air Conditioning Service and Re-Gas

Brake Repairs and Service

Have you noticed any noises or maybe a slight shudder when you are braking? This is your vehicle telling you that you need to have your brakes checked. It may not be serious, there may only be some dirt or dust build up between the pads and rotor but to use the old idiom ... Better safe than sorry.

We don't want to get all technical but there is an enormous amount of heat and friction generated in your brakes each time they're used. It's that combination of heat and friction that actually slows your vehicle down. Due to this extreme environment, over time stuff wears out or worse still, can fail without notice.

Having your brakes checked and serviced on a regular basis can save you thousands of dollars over the life of your car. For example, if you replace your brake pads before they become too worn, provided your rotors are within manufacturers specifications, you can also have the discs machined as well. This will extend the life of your brand new brake pads by ensuring they have a new, undamaged surface to work against.

Should you choose to ignore those little noises, there's the chance your brake pads will completely wear out. In doing so, they could destroy your discs to the extent where they can't be machined. Regrettably, now you're looking at a very costly exercise to have both your brake pads and rotors replaced.
