Well, we just finished our first week back after the festive season. What a week it was ... our customers kept us just as busy as ever.
One thing we did learn is that during the festive season, many of our customers travelled a lot of miles. They have been telling us about the places they visited, the friends and relatives they caught up with, the great times they had and the fantastic memories they can now cherish.
We saw a few vehicles this week where their tyres were looking a bit second hand after their Christmas excursion. While most were not at the replacement stage just yet, we did see a few that were past their use by date.
Each tyre has a built in safety marker that many drivers are unaware of. Moulded within the tread of each tyre, there are small wear indicator bars at regular intervals around the tyre. When these bars are worn level with the rest of the tread, it’s time to replace your tyres.
Please keep in mind that the minimum legal tread depth across the width of the tread on each of your tyres is 1.5 mm. While that is the minimum lawful condition for your tyre tread, some car manufacturers do recommend that you replace your tyres before they become worn to that degree.
So what does all that mean? Well, there is no need for you to crawl around the ground giving your tyres the once over. Stop by St Marys Tyre and Wheel Centre and we will be more than happy to check the condition of your tyres. There’s no need to book in ... just drop in on your way past for your FREE tyre check.
Safe motoring ... see you in-store soon!

What about here in Australia? Well, many Aussies aren’t even aware that winter, or snow tyres, are available in this sun burnt country... Continue reading→
